The Millennium Madejski Hotel is situated in the English town of Reading and just off the M4 motorway at junction 11. The hotel forms part of a complex that also includes the Madejski Stadium, home to both Reading Football Club[1] and London Irish RFC, and the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre.
The hotel is part of the Millennium & Copthorne Hotels global brand,[2] established by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc. It takes the second part of its name from John Madejski, the entrepreneur and owner of Reading Football Club and the stadium complex.
As originally constructed, the hotel was built around three sides of a central atrium, with the fourth side of the atrium being formed by the rear of the Madejski Stadium's west stand. A bridge across this atrium provides access to the directors and executive boxes in this stand. Access is also available to the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre.[3] More recently, a five story extension has been constructed, forming a wing extending out from the original hotel.
